Hobbies: “I love sports. I coach basketball for underprivileged youth ages 13 to 18 and that is my way of giving back to kids in our community. I enjoy politics. Although I don’t consider myself a politician, I enjoy the political process. I like current events. I’m either watching CNN, CNBS or ESPN, unless my wife is making me watch a reality show.”

Passions: “My faith in God and the calling I have in my life. I do not receive any salary to be a minister. This is a calling. I get great fulfillment out of being able to address people’s needs, to be a support system to them, pray with them. Also, I am happily married. We’ll have our tenth anniversary in May (2012). We met when she was living in St. Louis and I didn’t think I had a chance in the world with her. We struck up a friendship and had a long-distance relationship for a while. We now have a 9-year old daughter, Erin Elizabeth.”

Hidden talents: “That I am SO funny. I come across as so serious and formal but when you get to know me, I am laid back and love to joke around.”
